Historical notes & surrounding area:

The Eastern Townships region offers a cachet all it’s own. It was developed for the most part by New-England Loyalists who, shortly following the United-States War of Independence in 1776, chose to relocate in Canada in order to remain loyal to the British Crown. Numerous stone walls and the architecture of its houses and manors are living testimony of early British influence. St-Benoît-du-lac Abbey, as well as most nearby villages, are not to be missed.

The cottage is located between the towns of Magog and Granby, less than 4 kilometres from Knowlton, recognized as one of the most beautiful villages in the Province of Quebec. Many antique dealers and superior restaurants are to be found in the area.

If you appreciate villages that are renowned for their prominence in historical heritage, then St-Antoine-de-Tilly, on the shores of majestic St-Lawrence river and nearby historic Quebec city, will certainly charm you.  There, La Maison Lauriault awaits you for a stay you will not soon forget.
